Welcome to SDW Pakistan

Society for Disabled Women (SDW PAK) is registered, community and nonprofit organization striving to uplift the basic rights and recognition of women with disabilities in rural and suburban areas through community based rehabilitation programs in marginalized communities. The women in the society of Pakistan generally and disabled specifically are neglected. It started its work in the year 2000. SDW is registered under Joint Stock companies, societies act 1860.

Objectives

• Work with women and children who are mentally and physically disabled.
• To create the right type of awareness for their social status and recognition at the community level.
• To organize and strengthen the individual and the groups of disabled women and children and to promote the community based rehabilitation programs.
• To create and facilitate access to medical, educational and vocational rehabilitation.
• To create facilities and physical infrastructure for independent living of disabled community.
• To continuously sensitize the district, provincial, federal level government about the specific policy needs of this sector to make Pakistan the leader of the rehab care in the world.
